The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) successfully held its 54th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the ICMAB Ruhul Quddus Auditorium, ICMA Bhaban, Nilkhet, Dhaka, a press release said.
The AGM brought together Fellow and Associate Members, past presidents, and members of the Council in a cordial and participatory environment to review the Institute’s achievements over the year and to outline its future strategic direction. The program formally commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran.
Md. Mahbub-Ul-Alam FCMA, Executive Director of ICMAB, delivered the welcome address, warmly greeting the members and highlighting the Institute’s steady progress and continued commitment to professional excellence.
The meeting was presided over by the President of ICMAB, Mahtab Uddin Ahmed FCMA, who expressed his sincere gratitude to the members for their continued support and cooperation. In his presidential address, he underscored ICMAB’s key initiatives undertaken throughout the year to promote innovation, transformation, and professional excellence in the CMA profession.
Abdul Matin Patwary FCMA, Vice President, presented the activities and progress of the CMA examination system during the year. Md. Kausar Alam FCMA, Vice President, subsequently presented a comprehensive overview of the activities and developments related to CMA education in 2025.
Mohammed Jahangir Alam FCMA, Secretary of ICMAB, presented the Institute’s overall activities and achievements, along with the audited accounts and financial statements for the year.
The AGM provided an open forum for constructive dialogue, allowing members to engage actively in discussions on the annual report and various professional issues. Fellow and Associate Members participated enthusiastically in the question-and-answer session, reflecting a strong spirit of engagement, transparency, and accountability.
In conjunction with the AGM, the ICMAB Council Election and the Dhaka Branch Council (DBC) Election were also held on the same day.
