South Korea says President Lee to visit China from January 4-7

SEOUL : South Korean President Lee Jae Myung will visit China on the invitation of counterpart Xi Jinping from Sunday to Wednesday, Seoul and Beijing announced.

Lee and Xi last met in November on the sidelines of the APEC summit in the South Korean city of Gyeongju.

The South Korean leader has sought a reset in relations with China, his country’s largest trading partner, after years of fraught ties under his predecessor Yoon Suk Yeol.
