World Citizens Association celebrated 50th anniversary

On 30th December (Tuesday) at 5 pm in the capital Motijheel Rahmania International Complex auditorium, the 50th anniversary of the UN-recognized World Citizens Association and the felicitation ceremony was completed with a grand ceremony, a press release said.

Bangladesh’s (human rights organization) Law & Human Rights Society Bangladesh expressed their joint participation and solidarity in the 50th anniversary event. Preeti Sarman, the National Director of the World Citizens Association, was present as the chief guest in the event. Manoranjan Ghoshal, the advisor of the Bangladesh branch of the World Citizens Association (AWC), was present as the main speaker. Chief Executive Coordinator of the branch and Chief Coordinator of Law and Human Rights Society of Bangladesh and President of Dhaka Divisional Committee Lion Sahidul Islam Khokon. Ma Mati Consultancy and Properties Limited Managing Director and CEO Ashraful Islam Jewel, International Tour Advisor Md. Belal Uddin, King Palace Proprietor Lion Dr. were present as special guests. Khan, prominent politician Md. Hasib Hossain, Lion Md. Kamal Uddin, Chairman of A1 News. Md. Delwar Hossain Bhuiyan, Office Secretary of Dhaka Divisional Committee of Law and Human Rights Society of Bangladesh, Md. Main Uddin (Shubh), Cultural Affairs Editor of Dhaka Divisional Committee, Rozina Akhtar, etc. Chief Negotiator Lion Sahidul Islam Khokon said in his speech, “We all have to work together to implement human rights, and in the future we have to give the gift of a corruption-free Bangladesh nation, then we can give the status of martyrs.” He said that the whole world has lost its balance, so we all have to work together to protect the environment. According to environmental scientists, it is necessary to have 25 percent forest land in Bangladesh.
