On Friday(09 January 2026) marks the first death anniversary of Md. Velayet Hossain (79), former Deputy Executive President (DMD) of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, a press release said.
On this occasion, a milad and dua mahfil was organized by the family after Jummah prayers today, seeking blessings and forgiveness for the departed soul. The family has also requested everyone to remember him in their prayers.
Md. Velayet Hossain passed away on this day last year at a hospital in Dhaka. He served Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC with distinction for several decades and played a significant role in strengthening the bank’s operations as well as promoting ethical and Islamic banking practices in the country. He was widely respected for his professionalism, integrity, and strong sense of responsibility.
