Barrister Safayet Mohammad Raju has been elected Chairman of the Eastern University Foundation and the Board of Trustees for the year 2026. The decision was made unanimously at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Foundation and the Board of Trustees, held today at the university’s campus.
At the meeting, University Board members Engr. Khandaker Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Mr. Liaquat Hossain Moghul, and Mr. Sk. Sayedur Rahman were elected Vice Chairmen of the Eastern University Foundation for 2026, while Md. Ismail Zabihullah was elected Treasurer.
The AGM was presided over by former Chairman Md. Maniruzzaman Molla. The meeting reviewed the notable progress achieved by Eastern University in recent years and emphasized the importance of achieving excellence in research and development, alongside ensuring internationally recognized standards of higher education. Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, along with other distinguished members of the Board of Trustees, were present at the meeting.
