An independent study found Kaspersky leads industry transparency and accountability. Under its Global Transparency Initiative, it excelled across 60 criteria assessed. Kaspersky Next EDR Optimum showed minimal data collection, strong customer control, and advanced verification practices rarely matched by other cybersecurity vendors, a press release said.
Commenting on the research, Eugene Kaspersky, founder and CEO of Kaspersky, stated that transparency must be demonstrable to be credible. “Cybersecurity solutions run deep inside our customers’ systems, so being accountable really matters,” he explained. “When independent experts review our work, transparency becomes something you can measure – not just take on faith. We give organizations concrete evidence they can use to decide whom to trust, while at the same time encouraging higher standards across the entire cybersecurity industry.”
“Across Asia Pacific, where digital transformation is accelerating and geopolitical complexity is rising, trust has become the defining factor in cybersecurity. This independent assessment reinforces that organizations want verifiable transparency, accountability, and proof of how their security vendors operate. By opening our technology, processes, and data handling to independent scrutiny, Kaspersky continues to set a higher standard for what trusted cybersecurity should look like in the region and globally,” adds Adrian Hia, Managing Director for Asia Pacific at Kaspersky.
The whitepaper highlights that detection and response platforms link transparency to governance, compliance, and supply chain risk, urging CISOs to prioritize vendor accountability.
