North South University (NSU) hosts a winter clothes distribution program, sponsored by Southeast Bank PLC, on 20 January 2026 to provide winter relief to the university’s office support staff, security personnel, and cleaners. NSU distributed 1,000 blankets in this program, reflecting the university’s commitment to social responsibility and community welfare, a press release said.
The program was graced by Mr. M. A. Kashem, Founder Life Member and Former Chairman, Board of Trustees, NSU, and Chairman, Southeast Bank PLC, as the Chief Guest. Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor, NSU, attended as the Special Guest.
Chief Guest Mr. M. A. Kashem said, “This initiative reflects our shared responsibility toward society. As Muslims, it is our duty to care for those in need. On behalf of Southeast Bank PLC, I am proud to support this effort and encourage everyone to stand beside them.”
Special Guest Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury said, “NSU believes in serving society beyond academics. This winter distribution program is a small but meaningful step toward supporting vulnerable communities. I thank Southeast Bank PLC and all organizers for making this initiative possible.”
Through this program, NSU reaffirmed its dedication to humanitarian service and its role in fostering a culture of compassion, empathy, and social engagement among its community members.
