LafargeHolcim Bangladesh PLC (LHB) has officially launched ‘Powercrete’, a specialized high-performance product designed for the Ready-Mix Concrete (RMX) segment. The unveiling took place during a technical seminar titled ‘Durable High Performance Concrete for Sustainable Infrastructure in Bangladesh’ held at Hotel Sheraton, Dhaka, a press release said.
The event brought together 150 industry leaders, academics, consultants and engineering experts to explore the future of construction technology. The launch of Powercrete stood as the evening’s centerpiece, presented as a premier solution for building resilient, sustainable and high-strength urban infrastructure.
The seminar commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Mohammad Mahfuzul Hoque, Commercial & Logistics Director of LHB, who underscored the company’s unwavering commitment to innovation and product quality. Prof. Dr. Munaz Ahmed Noor from BUET presented the key note at the seminar highlighting the critical role of high-performance concrete in modern structural integrity. Mr. Fakhruddin Md. Khan, Head of Innovation and Technical Services at LHB, detailed how Powercrete offers superior technical advantages and specialized services tailored for complex projects.
The seminar culminated in an interactive panel discussion and Q&A session, featuring a diverse lineup of industry experts like Prof. Dr. Munaz Ahmed Noor from BUET,Architect Mr Falguni Mallick, Founder & Principal Architect, Falguni Mallick & Associates and Mr. Abdullah Al Hossain Chowdhury (Rizvi), Managing Director, Inter Space Limited.
