North South University’s (NSU) Counseling & Wellbeing Center (CWC) recently organized a comprehensive “Wellbeing Series” to support the mental health and overall well-being of the university’s student community. The initiative was designed to help students develop healthier routines and stronger personal skills for managing academic and personal challenges, a press release said.
The series featured four interactive sessions focusing on key areas of student wellbeing: “Better Sleep, Better Outcome”; “Healthy Communication, Strong Connection”; “Self-care for Healthy Living”; and “Understanding Your Relationship Patterns”, by CWC counselors between 25 February and 8 March at NSU’s Audi-801.
The program received an overwhelming number of registrations and saw enthusiastic participation from students across the university. The first session explored how sleeping habits can affect productivity and mental health. The second session focused on how we can communicate more effectively. The third session highlighted practical ways to practice self-care for overall well-being. The final session examined relationship patterns- why we behave in certain ways in emotional relationships and how we can improve these patterns.
Participants actively engaged in discussions, activities, and reflections throughout the sessions, creating a lively and supportive learning environment. Student feedback highlighted the initiative’s positive impact. One participant, who attended all four sessions, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to join the series and appreciation for the practical insights gained. He also encouraged the Counseling & Wellbeing Center to organize more such sessions in the future to continue supporting student wellbeing.
The Counseling & Wellbeing Center remains committed to promoting mental health awareness, resilience, and personal development among students and plans to organize additional wellbeing programs in the coming months.
