Bengal Commercial Bank rolls into 6th Year

Bengal Commercial Bank has stepped into its 6th year of journey with a strong focus on seamless customer service, strict compliance with banking regulations and financial inclusion. Celebrating the anniversary, a program was held on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, at an aristocrat restaurant in the capital, a press release said.

Within a short span of time, the bank has expanded its network by opening 34 branches across the country, including four full-fledged Islamic Banking branches providing Shariah-based banking services. Since the beginning of its journey, the bank has been prioritizing the CMSME sector and contributing to the country’s overall economic development. The New-Generation Bank has also been moving forward with notable achievements including a credit rating of AA- and the introduction of modern digital banking services.

On the occasion, Md. Jashim Uddin, Chairman of the Bank and President of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), extended his sincere greetings and thanks to the valued customers, partners and all employees of the Bank for their continued trust, cooperation and tireless efforts. Mentioning the CMSME sector as one of the key drivers of the national economy, he stated that Bengal Commercial Bank would continue to support the sustainable development of this sector in the future as well.

Tarik Morshed, Managing Director of the Bank, said that ensuring compliance with banking regulations, delivering upgraded customer service and promoting inclusive banking remain the core priorities of Bengal Commercial Bank.

Engr. Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir, Vice Chairman of the Bank, was present at the event along with other Directors of the Board, Additional Managing Directors, Deputy Managing Directors, Corporate Branch Manager, other senior officials, customers and stakeholders. The program featured Cake Cutting, Prayer and an Iftar Mahfil.

To mark the anniversary, the Bank also organized day-long programs including Doa and Iftar Mahfil with customers, patrons and well-wishers at all its Branches and Sub-branches across the country.
