Bangladesh ICT Stakeholders Alliance (BISA) organized a “BISA Iftar & Networking Program” in a cordial atmosphere with the participation of various organizations, entrepreneurs, technologists and policymakers of the ICT sector.
The program was attended by Fakir Mahabub Anam, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, ICT Division and Ministry of Science and Technology as the chief guest, Advocate Ahmed Azam Khan, Minister of Liberation War Affairs and Rehan Asif Asad, Advisor to the Prime Minister, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology (in the rank of Minister of State). The program was presided over by BISA President Dr. Mustafa Rafiqul Islam Duke.
Moderated by BISA Advisor Shamim Azad, the event was addressed by Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) Director General Major General ASM Ridwanur Rahman, political analyst Dr. Maruf Mallick, BNP National Executive Committee Member Faisal Alim, BNP National Executive Committee Information and Technology Affairs Assistant Secretary H. M. Saif Ali Khan, BISA Chief Advisor Engineer Md. Jewel, founding member Md. Samiul Islam, BACCO Director Shaima Shawkat Ali, Advisor Raj Masud Farhad, NICTF President Rafael Kabir, and leaders of various organizations in the ICT sector.
The speakers said that the ICT sector in Bangladesh is expanding rapidly and coordination and cooperation between various organizations, entrepreneurs and policymakers is very important for the sustainable development of this sector. BISA is playing an important role in further advancing the country’s digital economy by bringing together various stakeholders in the ICT sector through this platform.
Speakers at the event emphasized the creation of technology-based entrepreneurs, innovation, startup development, and increasing investment in the ICT sector.
Later, participants exchanged views through Iftar and networking sessions and discussed various aspects of the future development of the ICT sector.
