The country’s first Broadband Expo 2026 is starting from April 13. This three-day event will be held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center. The fair, organized by the Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB), will highlight the current development, innovation and future prospects of the country’s broadband sector, a press release said.
This information was given at a press conference organized at the ISPAB office in Banani in the capital on Saturday (April 11). The theme of this year’s expo has been set as ‘Linking People, Linking Future’.
Information Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan will inaugurate the exhibition on April 13. Prime Minister’s Advisor Rehan A. Asad, Posts and Telecommunications Secretary Abdun Naser Khan and BTRC Chairman Emdad ul Bari will be present as special guests.
On the other hand, Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Fakir Mahbub Anam will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony on April 15. The ‘Grand Host’ will be a special attraction for the invited guests at the closing ceremony on that day.
A special ‘Experience Zone’ has been set up for technology lovers at the fair. Where students from various universities will showcase 25 innovative projects based on robotics and IoT. In addition, domestic and foreign information and telecommunication companies will showcase their software, hardware and network products. There will be 10 pavilions, 35 mini pavilions and 20 stalls on the fair premises.
ISPAB President Mohammad Aminul Hakim, Secretary General Nazmul Karim Bhuyan, Vice President Neyamul Haque Khan, along with top leaders of the organization and sponsor representatives were present at the press conference.
This year’s event features Platinum Sponsors Fiber at Home Limited and Summit Communications Limited. In addition, leading technology companies in the country, including Amber IT, C-Data, ADN Telecom, and Link 3, are participating in the Diamond and Gold categories.
