Premier Bank holds awareness program on respectful workplace culture

With the aim of ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace, The Premier Bank PLC’s Human Resources Division organized an awareness workshop titled “Respectful Workplace Culture” on Sunday (April 12, 2026) at the Learning and Talent Development Center of its head office in Banani, Dhaka, a press release said.

The program was inaugurated by Dr. Arifur Rahman, Chairman of The Premier Bank PLC. Among others present were Independent Director M. Nurul Alam FCS; Managing Director (CC) Md. Monjur Mofiz; Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Al-Amin, Deputy Managing Director S. M. Wali Ul Morshed; Deputy Managing Director Amalendu Roy; VP & Head of Human Resources (In-Charge) Md. Moinul Huq Shiraze; along with other officials of the Bank.

The event featured Professor Dr. Fouzia Mannan, Chairperson and Principal of East West University and a member of the UGC Sexual Harassment Committee, as the guest speaker. In her remarks, she highlighted the importance of mutual respect, personal boundaries, and fostering a positive workplace culture. She noted that a healthy work environment is built not only through policies, but also through everyday behavior, language, and mutual respect.

In his opening remarks, Chairman Dr. Arifur Rahman stated that this timely initiative would help strengthen mutual respect among employees and play a significant role in developing a positive workplace culture.

Independent Director M. Nurul Alam FCS emphasized that building an inclusive work environment requires awareness, responsibility, and collaboration from every member of the organization.

Managing Director (CC) Md. Monjur Mofiz underscored the importance of maintaining professionalism, practicing empathy, and fostering a culture of trust in the workplace.
