21 loved ones of expatriates have won cash coupons, including a top prize of Tk 100,000, by receiving remittances through bKash during this Ramadan. The campaign was launched ahead of Ramadan and Eid to encourage expatriates to send money home through a safe, fast, easy, and legal channel. The winners’ coupons have been credited directly to their respective bKash accounts, a press release said.
The highest monthly remittance recipient, Md. Nayan Mia, won the mega coupon worth Tk 100,000 during the campaign ran from February 19 to March 18, 2026. In addition, five winners were selected every week, each receiving electronic device coupons ranging from Tk 25,000 to Tk 5,000. Moreover, customers who received at least Tk 10,000 in remittance in a single day were rewarded with a Tk 300 discount coupon.
Currently, expatriates can directly send remittances to their loved ones’ bKash account through 135 international MTOs from over 170 countries around the world that get settled at 27 top commercial banks in the country. Additionally, they are receiving a government incentive of Tk 25 per thousand. Due to benefits like instant transfer without the need of a bank account, ease of sending any amount, and the ability to download remittance statements, sending remittance to bKash accounts is becoming increasingly popular. These services are also contributing significantly to strengthening the country’s foreign currency reserves.
Notably, bKash regularly introduces such initiatives to raise awareness and encourage expatriates to send remittances through legal channels safely.
