NSU Pharmaceutical Club organizes awareness session on minimally invasive tech, cancer

North South University’s (NSU)  Pharmaceutical Club, in collaboration with Modern Cancer Hospital, successfully organized an insightful awareness session titled “Awareness Session on Minimally Invasive Technology & Cancer, today, a press release said.

The session featured renowned cancer specialist Professor Wang Ligen, Chief Physician and Doctoral Supervisor at Guangzhou Modern Cancer Hospital, China, as the main speaker. The event was also honoured by the presence of the Dean of the School of Health and Life Sciences, Professor  Dipak Kumar Mitra, and the Chairman of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr. Mohammad Hossain Shariare.

The event aimed to increase awareness about modern advancements in cancer treatment, particularly the growing role of minimally invasive technology in improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

Professor Wang Ligen shared valuable insights into innovative cancer treatment approaches that reduce surgical trauma, shorten recovery time, and enhance precision in medical intervention. During the session, students, faculty members, and healthcare enthusiasts had the opportunity to learn about emerging global practices in oncology and the future direction of cancer care.

The event also highlighted Professor Wang’s extensive contributions to the field of oncology. He is a member of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (CACA), Director of the Minimally Invasive Therapy Committee of CACA, Council Member of the CSCO China Society of Clinical Oncology, and a Visiting Scholar at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, USA.

Through this initiative, the North South University Pharmaceutical Club reaffirmed its commitment to promoting healthcare awareness, academic enrichment, and global medical collaboration among students and future healthcare professionals.

The organizers expressed their gratitude to all participants, collaborators, and supporters who contributed to the success of the program. The session concluded with enthusiasm and inspiration for continued learning and advancement in modern healthcare technologies.
