SOS Children’s Villages Bangladesh and BSRM have launched a new partnership to strengthen family-based alternative care services for vulnezrable, orphaned, and abandoned children.

The initiative, titled “Family House Support for Alternative Care Facilities,” was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at SOS Children’s Village Chattogram. Under the agreement, BSRM will provide vital financial assistance to sustain family houses at the Chattogram alternative care facility, directly securing access to quality education, healthcare, nutrition, and safe accommodation for children in need.

Leadership from both organizations attended the ceremony, including Dr. Md. Enamul Haque, National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Bangladesh; and Ms. Runi Rahman, Head of CSR at BSRM Steels Ltd.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Md. Enamul Haque emphasized the power of cross-sector collaboration. “Addressing the needs of vulnerable children requires collective action. This partnership with BSRM allows us to build sustainable support systems and unlock brighter, more secure opportunities for children who need them most,” he said.

This collaboration highlights a growing trend of impactful corporate-NGO partnerships in Bangladesh, demonstrating how strategic corporate social responsibility (CSR) can actively strengthen long-term child welfare and protection frameworks nationwide.
