DHAKA : The Extra Ordinary General Meeting of Pioneer Insurance Company Limited was held on Wednesday, 25 th June, 2025 by using digital platform for changing the name of the company from “Pioneer Insurance Company Limited” to “Pioneer Insurance PLC” and to increase the authorized share capital from 100 Crore to 200 Crore, according to a press release.
Mr. Zakir Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Company presided over the meeting. Among the Directors of the board Sylvana Sikder, Shahana Rahmatullah, M.A. Majed, Sanchia Chowdhury, Anika Chowdhury, Munize Manzur, Parveen Akther, Rozina Afroze, Shafiqul Islam Khan, Sheikh Mohammad Salim Ullah, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Syed Shahriyar Ahsan and Company Secretary Mr. S. M. Mizanur Rahman as well as a large number of shareholders were present in the meeting virtually.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and himself, the Chairman, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the shareholders for their continued support to the Company. He also appreciated the employees of the Company for their outstanding performance and advised them to continue their sincere efforts in future too.
