DHAKA : Four students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of Daffodil International University took part in the ACD Student Leadership Camp 2025 and represented Bangladesh, which was jointly organized by Siam University in Bangkok, Thailand, the Asia Cooperation Dialogue University Network (ACD-UN), and the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) from June 4–6. 60 participants from 12 countries participated in leadership training, SDG-related activities, and visits to UN ESCAP, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), and the SDG Community Market, according to a press release.
Among 8 teams, two different teams won the awards under ‘Sustainability’ and ‘Impact’ where DIU students were the key members. This success shows their hard work and DIU’s strong support for global learning and sustainable development. We encourage our students to take part in such international programs to grow as global leaders. The 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Standard Insurance Limited was held on, 25th June, 2025 at virtually by using digital platform. The Chairman H.T.M Quader Newaz, Mahmuda Begum, Director, Husna-Ara-Begum, Director, Tasmiah Rahman, Director, Faria Rahman, Director, Hasnat Mosharraf, Director, Hasib Mosharraf, Director, Faheem Mosharraf, Director, Mohammad Ali, Director, Md. Humayun Kabir, Director, Md. Abdul Matin Sarkar, Chief Executive Officer and Mohammad Kowser Munshi, Company Secretary were present in the Annual General Meeting. A large number of shareholders were present in the Meeting. The Meeting approved the Directors report and Financial Statement-2024 and 10% Cash Dividend. The meeting approved of changing of registered name of theCompany to ' Standard Insurance PLC from Standard Insurance Limited.
