A day-long Islamic cultural program organized by Ababil Cultural Sangsad was recently held at the Madhainagar High School grounds in Amdoi Union, Joypurhat. The initiative aimed to raise awareness against counterculture, drugs, gambling, eve-teasing, and extortion while fostering unity among the youth.
Lecturer Ariful Islam presided over the event, and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Joypurhat District Ameer Dr. Fazlur Rahman Sayeed was present as the chief guest. The event was moderated by the organization’s chief advisor Abdul Wahed, and was attended by special guests including District Branch Secretary Golam Kibria Mondal, Assistant Secretary Hasibul Alam Liton, former Chairman of Panchbibi Upazila Parishad Lecturer Mostafizur Rahman, Senior Vice President of Joypurhat Press Club Mashrequl Alam, Panchbibi Upazila Ameer Maulana Sujaul Islam, Kusumba Union Ameer Abu Yusuf Mohammad Khalilur Rahman, Secretary of Amdoi Union Nahidul Islam and President of Ababil Cultural Sangsad Hafez Ibrahim Bin Sharif The event was graced by the captivating performances of artists from the renowned Islamic cultural organization Saimum’ and ‘Udbhabon’.
In his speech, chief guest Dr. Fazlur Rahman Sayeed said, “The impact of counterculture is harming our society. By promoting healthy cultural practices, we can build a better society, and this requires collective effort.”
Ahsan Habib, Secretary of Ababil Cultural Sangsad, emphasized, “Through this program, we aim to create public awareness against various harmful subcultures in society. Such initiatives will continue in the future.” He further noted that the large audience turnout reflected growing public interest in the practice and spread of healthy cultural values.
