Palli Sanchay Bank training program inaugurated in presence of financial institutions secretary

A three-day training program was organized by PalliSanchay Bank to enhance professionalism and efficiency in the investigation of disciplinary departmental cases. The primary objective of the program was to boost the skills of the bank’s officials in handling such cases. Branch managers from PalliSanchay Bank participated as trainees in the program, which was held at the bank’s head office training room, a press release said.

The inaugural ceremony of the training program was graced by the online presence of NajmaMobarek, Honorable Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance, who attended as the Chief Guest.

In her address as the Chief Guest, NazmaMobarek, Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division under the Ministry of Finance, emphasized that there is no alternative to training for enhancing the professional skills of officers and employees. She noted that PalliSanchay Bank operates in every upazila across the country, which enables it to reach the grassroots population effectively.Addressing the officials, she advised them not to confine themselves solely to desk work, but to actively engage with clients in the field. In this regard, she gave directives to reduce classified and overdue loans and to strengthen loan recovery efforts.She further stated, “If one can become a good human being, good work naturally follows.” In her speech, she highlighted the importance of proper investigation procedures and adherence to government rules and regulations related to discipline. She stressed the need to bring rule violators under the purview of the law through due process in order to uphold good governance and discipline.

The honorable Secretary described the activities of PalliSanchay Bank as highly significant for the economic development of the country’s marginal population. She expressed her willingness to visit the bank’s head office in person in the future and conveyed her interest in directly observing the bank’s operations.

The event also featured several special guests: Dr. Mohammad Mohiuddin, Chairman of PalliSanchay Bank’s Board of Directors and Additional Secretary of the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division; SardarMd. Keramat Ali, Honorable Director of the bank’s Board of Directors and Additional Secretary & Director General of the Bangladesh Rural Development Board; and NureAlamTalukder, Honorable Director of the Board and Managing Director of the Bangladesh Students’ Welfare Trust. The Deputy Managing Directors Khan Iqbal Hasan and General Managers A. B. M Zahid Hossain and Md. Ala Uddin of the bank were also present.The distinguished guests present at the event delivered their valuable speeches one after another in turn.

The training program was chaired by Salma Banu, the Honorable Managing Director of PalliSanchay Bank.

It is expected that through this training, participating officials will acquire practical knowledge and skills in fair and professional case investigation, maintaining confidentiality, and navigating various legal processes. The knowledge gained is anticipated to play a crucial role in upholding discipline, ensuring transparency, and establishing good governance within the bank in the future.
