DHAKA : The fire that broke out in the capital’s Mohakhali Sat Tala Slum this afternoon was brought under control within a few minutes.
The fire erupted at the slum around 14:37 pm today, Anwarul Islam, media officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence told BSS.
Five firefighting units brought the blas‚ under control within a few minutes of intense efforts around 3pm today, he said.
The extent of damage and cause behind the fire could not be known immediately.
No reports of casualties have so far been received, Islam said.
