Bengal Commercial Bank hosts expatriate gathering in Malaysia

Bengal Commercial Bank organized a “Gathering for Expats” in Malaysia to encourage expatriates to send remittances through legal channels, a press release said.

The event was organized at a renowned hotel in the capital Kuala Lumpur recently.Tarik Morshed, Managing Director and CEO of the Bank presided over the ceremony. He has praised the contribution of Bangladeshi expatriates living in Malaysia. “Expatriates are one of the driving forces of the country’s economy especially the 1.5 million expatriates living in Malaysia are enriching the country’s foreign currency reserve as well as playing an outstanding role in moving their families and society forward”, Tarik Morshed added. He committed toprovide the most secure and reliable banking servicesto theremittanceearners. Md. Saiful Islam, Head of Trade Service and International Divisionand Md. Rashel Mahmud, In-charge of the Remittance Department of the Bank were also present at the event. The Chief Executives of CBL Money Transfer, NBL Money Transfer, Agrani Remittance House, Max Money, Akbar Money Changer, Japan Remit Finance and Placid Express attended the program as well.

During this visit, Bengal Commercial Bank signed agreements with six Malaysian money transfer companies and exchange houses. From now on Bangladeshi expatriates living in Malaysia will be able to send remittances to the country safely and quickly.
