Daffodil International University (DIU) proudly announces that its Founder and Chairman, Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, has been officially invited to speak at the prestigious QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2025, to be held at Korea University, Seoul, South Korea, from 4–6 November 2025, a press release said.
The invitation, extended jointly by QS Quacquarelli Symonds and Korea University, recognizes Dr. Khan’s exceptional contributions to higher education leadership, innovation, and his advocacy for South-South collaboration in education, technology, and entrepreneurship.
Themed “Advancing Generational Potential: Skills and Partnerships in the Asia Pacific,” the Summit will gather leading academics, policymakers, and university executives to explore next-generation skills, green talent, research excellence, and inclusive institutional development across the Asia-Pacific region.
As Chairman of the AUAP Advisory Council and Founder & Chairman of Daffodil International University, Dr. Khan will represent Bangladesh and the Global South in panel discussions that focus on “Fostering Global South-South Partnerships for Collective Development.”
In his remarks, Dr. Khan will emphasize how universities in the Global South can evolve from being knowledge recipients to knowledge creators and capacity builders, using higher education as a platform for development and soft power.
He will share key insights from DIU’s innovative ecosystem, which integrates entrepreneurship, microcredentials, digital transformation, and patent-based education. Dr. Khan’s proposals include establishing a Global South Innovation Exchange Platform, a South-South IP Bank, and Regional Startup Corridors to commercialize and protect student- and faculty-driven innovations.
Dr. Khan’s vision extends beyond technology, focusing on cultural diplomacy, mental wellbeing, and indigenous knowledge exchange as drivers of sustainable education and global harmony. Through initiatives like DIU’s Jeebika project and youth-led innovation platforms, he advocates for inclusive growth models grounded in empathy, ethics, and real-world impact.
Speaking on his upcoming participation, Dr. Khan stated: “This invitation is not a personal honor but a reflection of Bangladesh’s growing leadership in global higher education and innovation. The Global South must move from dependency to reciprocity — building shared frameworks for education, research, and entrepreneurship that uplift all.”
Daffodil International University continues to champion international collaboration and sustainable innovation, positioning Bangladesh as a key contributor to global educational reform and cross-border cooperation.
