Eastern University and United Healthcare have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in healthcare services for students, faculty members, and staff. The MoU signing ceremony was held yesterday at the United Medical College Hospital, a press release said.
The MoU was signed on behalf of Eastern University by Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, and on behalf of United Healthcare by Mohammad Faizur Rahman, Chief Executive Officer (Healthcare Division), United Group.
Representing Eastern University at the ceremony were K. M. Monirul Islam, Deputy Director, Office of Student Affairs and Placement, and Md. Mohiuddin Majumder, Assistant Director, Public Relations. From United Healthcare, Tareq Sami Rahman, Head of Customer Relations Department & Corporate Marketing, was also present.
Under the agreement, students, faculty members, and officers and staff of Eastern University will receive exclusive discounts on medical treatment, diagnostic tests, and cabin services at United Healthcare.
Both institutions expressed optimism that this collaboration will enhance access to quality healthcare for the university community and pave the way for expanded cooperation in the future.
