DHAKA : Visiting Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey A Beris Ekinci today called on Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, secretary general of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan here.
The meeting began at around 2 pm, where Turkish Ambassador in Dhaka Ramis Sen was also present there, BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan told journalists later.
BNP’s standing committee members Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Salahuddin Ahmed, acting chairman’s international affairs adviser Humayun Kabir and organizing Secretary Shama Obaid were present at the meeting, among others.
The meeting is likely to discuss bilateral relations, the recent political situation in Bangladesh and the upcoming national elections, Kabir Khan added.
