The Narayanganj District Committee of Citizens for Good Governance (Sujon) has been formed, a press release said.
The 25-member committee was announced at a program organized at the Ali Ahmed Chunka Library and Auditorium in the city on Saturday (October 18) afternoon with Dhiman Saha Jewel as the president and Ashraful Haque Ashu as the general secretary.
Zillur Rahman, central associate coordinator of Sujon-Nagorik for Good Governance, announced the committee.
The first phase of the committee reorganization and planning meeting was presided over by Dhiman Saha Jewel, president of the Narayanganj District Committee of Citizens for Good Governance-Sujon.
Later, after the committee was declared dissolved, the second phase was presided over by former Assistant Professor Moniruzzaman Monir, president of the Sonargaon Upazila branch of Sujon-Nagorik for Good Governance.
At the event, newly elected president Dhiman Saha Jewel said, ‘Sujon’ has been working for the rights of the common man, national integrity and solving the problems of the society for a long time. Due to our various suggestions and demands, several changes have been implemented in different sectors. Our efforts for the common man will continue in the future.
The other members of the newly elected committee are, Vice President MR Haider Rana, Advocate Shahidul Islam Titu, Co-Editor Maksuda Yasmin, Organizing Secretary Mizanur Rahman, Finance Secretary Rajlakshmi, Office Secretary Zahirul Islam Mintu, Publicity Secretary Talukder Abdullah Al Faruk (Rinku), Executive Members Moktar Hossain, Farrukh Ahmed Khasru, Abul Hasan, Md. Selim Bhuiyan, Advocate Tanha Rahman, Zillur Rahman, Mohammad Abu Sayeed, Md. Al Amin Ali, Zahirul Islam Bidyut, Md. Nazrul Islam Sujan, Advocate Nayani Rani Saha, Shah Alam Bhuiyan, Parvez Sharif and Mujibur Rahman.
