PIACT Bangladesh, established in 1980, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Inner Wheel Club of Lobelia at its premises today to strengthen support for the organization’s Safe Home in Daulatdia. The signing was attended by PIACT Bangladesh Chairman Abu Yusuf Choudhury and Inner Wheel Club President Sajeda Akhter, a press release said.
The Safe Home, established in 2000, has been independently operated by PIACT for the past 18 years, providing protection, care, and a safe childhood for children of brothel-based sex workers. The new partnership aims to reinforce these efforts through a system-strengthening approach, enabling expanded services and enhanced wellbeing for vulnerable children.
PIACT Bangladesh welcomed the humanitarian collaboration, expressing optimism that the joint initiative will deepen community support and improve long-term opportunities for the children under its care.
