The Universal College Bangladesh (UCBD) has entered into a strategic agreement with global software firm Bdtask to strengthen students’ careers and industry exposure through structured training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in the Information Technology (IT) sector, a press release said.

The agreement was signed recently at a ceremony held at the UCBD Campus in the capital’s Gulshan. Kingshuk Gupta, Chief Operating Officer of UCBD, and Sumch Mohammad Tarek, Managing Director of Bdtask, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Under the agreement, students of UCBD will gain access to internship placements within live IT projects, job placement support upon program completion, and professional training aligned with current industry standards.

The arrangement also includes knowledge-sharing sessions led by industry practitioners and hands-on exposure to real-world software development environments. These provisions are structured to ensure students develop practical competencies that complement their academic qualifications, increasing their competitiveness in the job market.

“By connecting our students directly with organizations like Bdtask, we are creating tangible pathways from classroom to career,” said Kingshuk Gupta, Chief Operating Officer of UCBD. “We’ve seen too many capable graduates struggle in their first jobs simply because they lack practical experience. This partnership will change that equation entirely. Our students will now walk into interviews having already worked on real projects, understood workplace dynamics, and built professional networks. They won’t just have degrees; they’ll have proven capabilities that employers are actively looking for.”

Sumch Mohammad Tarek, Managing Director of Bdtask, emphasized the mutual value of the partnership. “We recognize the importance of nurturing talent early in the education pipeline,” he said. “This collaboration allows us to engage with students during their formative professional years, while also contributing to the development of Bangladesh’s technology workforce.”

The partnership is also expected to generate value for a wider group of stakeholders. Students will benefit from access to real-world IT experience and future-ready career pathways, while parents will gain greater assurance that their investment in education is closely linked to employment outcomes. For industry and academia, the agreement opens scope for collaborative projects that support the growth of Bangladesh’s education and technology ecosystem.
