North South University’s (NSU) Career and Placement Center (CPC) organizes the Closing Ceremony of the B-JET 15th Batch Program on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the Syndicate Hall, NSU. The ceremony celebrated the completion of the program by the trainees and highlighted the continued collaboration between Bangladesh and Japan in developing globally competitive ICT professionals, a press release said.
Organized under the theme “Turning Vision into Reality,” the event celebrated the successful completion of the B-JET 15th Batch Program and highlighted the program’s role in preparing skilled ICT professionals capable of contributing to global digital transformation and international collaboration.
The ceremony began with opening remarks from Dr. Farzana Nahid, Director of the Career and Placement Center (CPC) at North South University. In her address, she welcomed the distinguished guests and participants and emphasized the significance of the B-JET program in preparing young ICT professionals for international career opportunities.
Following the opening session, Yuki Morishita, B-JET Project Manager of SHINKOSHUPPANSHA KEIRINKAN Co., Ltd., presented a comprehensive program report.
The session was further illuminated by remarks from Tomohide Ichiguchi, Chief Representative of the JICA Bangladesh Office, along with a congratulatory address from Ms. Kayoko Kitagawa, Representative Executive Director of SHINKOSHUPPANSHA KEIRINKAN Co., Ltd., who conveyed their best wishes to the graduates. Engr. Md. Golam Sarwar, Director (BD-ITEC) of the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC), also highlighted the importance of the B-JET program in strengthening Bangladesh–Japan cooperation in the ICT sector and creating international career opportunities for Bangladeshi ICT graduates.
The ceremony also featured a certificate awarding ceremony recognizing the successful completion of the B-JET 15th Batch Program by its graduates.
In the closing session, Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of North South University, delivered the Vote of Thanks, congratulating the graduates and acknowledging the contributions of partner organizations in supporting the initiative.
The ceremony also featured a special cultural performance by Takeo Uzawa, Japanese Language Expert at B-MET and the Japan Foundation, who performed the “Japan–Bangladesh Friendship Song.” The song was originally created in 2012 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Japan, symbolizing the enduring friendship between the two nations.
The B-JET Program continues to play a vital role in strengthening Bangladesh–Japan collaboration by preparing young ICT professionals with technical expertise, language skills, and cross-cultural competencies required to succeed in the global technology industry.
