NSU shows strong performance in QS subject rankings 2026

North South University (NSU) has continued to strengthen its academic reputation in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026, earning recognition across several key disciplines, a press release said.

This year, NSU’s most notable achievement is in Economics & Econometrics, where the university has been ranked in the 301–350 band globally, making it the top-ranked university in Bangladesh.

The university has also performed well in Business & Management Studies (351–400) and Electrical & Electronic Engineering (401–450), where NSU stands as the top private university of the country. In Social Sciences & Management, NSU has once again been placed in the 451–500 range, thereby continuing to hold its position as the #1 private university in Bangladesh in this broad subject area.

In Computer Science & Information Systems, NSU has been ranked in the 551–600 rank band, making it one of the top private universities in Bangladesh in this discipline, with clear potential for further growth.

Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of NSU, said, “These results are a testament to the combined efforts of our faculty, students, researchers, and staff. North South University will continue to strengthen academic excellence, research capacity, and global engagement to ensure greater opportunities for our community.”
