Bangladesh Power Sector Diploma Engineers Federation.
The convening committee of “Bangladesh Power Sector Diploma Engineers Federation” has been formed with Engineer Hossain Patwary Milon as the convener and Engineer Md. Rezaul Karim as the member secretary.
Yesterday, May 1, 2026, a convening committee of “Bangladesh Power Sector Diploma Engineers Federation” has been formed with the aim of establishing equitable state rights for engineers working in institutions responsible for power generation, transmission and distribution systems at the national level in Bangladesh.
The committee was formed at a joint meeting held at 10:00 am in the capital’s Kakrail at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) building, a national professional organization of diploma engineers, under the chairmanship of NESCO Executive Engineer Md. Morshedul Alam and moderated by Power Grid Bangladesh PLC Deputy Assistant Engineer Md. Aminul Islam.
This convening committee was formed by a joint decision in the presence and consent of the representatives of >Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), >Power Grid Bangladesh PLC (PGB PLC), >Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC) Limited, >Dhaka Electric Supply Company (DESCO) Limited, >Northern Electricity Supply PLC (NES PLC), >West Zone Power Distribution Company (Ozopadico) Limited, >Rural Power Company Ltd (RPCL), >Ashuganj Power Station Company Limited (APSCL), >Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh (EGCB) Limited, >North West Power Generation Company Limited (NWPGCL), >Coal Power Generation Company Limited (CPGCL), >BR PowerGen Limited, >Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB), >Palli Bidyut Samity (PBS)
The committee was declared a 31 (joint) member committee with Engineer Md. Mir Hossain Patwari as convener, Engineer ASM Rezzakul Haider as convener, Engineer Md. Masudur Rahman as convener, Engineer Md. Rezaul Karim as co-convener, Member Secretary, Engineer Md. Aminul Islam as member (organizer), Senior Joint Member Secretary and Engineer Md. Obaidul Alam as members (organizer).
This committee will work in a coordinated manner to develop the professional skills of diploma engineers working 365 days, 24/7 in the power sector institutions of Bangladesh in the coming days and to establish fair rights. Above all, this committee will play a leading role in coordinating among about 5 (five) thousand member engineers working in production, transmission and distribution institutions to ensure quality power supply at the national level.
