Popular singer and composer AN Farhad making waves in music industry

Dhaka: One of the busiest and most popular contemporary singers and composers, AN Farhad, continues to make a strong impact in the Bangladeshi music industry. Working successfully as both a vocalist and composer, several of his compositions have already earned widespread appreciation in the audio market.

AN Farhad’s full name is Md. Abu Naser Farhad. He was born and raised in Madhyam Ashrafpur village under Sadar South upazila of Cumilla district.

His musical journey began under the guidance of Ustad Chandan Ashcharja. From an early age, he regularly performed at various school and college programs, nurturing a deep passion for music.

In 2021, his first composition was officially released. Since then, songs composed by him and performed by various artists have gradually gained popularity among listeners.

Within a short time, many well-known Bangladeshi singers have performed songs composed by Farhad. Among them are Imran Mahmudul, Kona, Nancy, Porshi, Polok Hasan, Tasiba, Nolok Babu, Akash Mahmud, Sanzida Rimi, Mahua Muna, Pushpita Mitra, Syed Omi, Tasnim Zaman Swarna, Promit Kumar, Shimul Hasan, Imon Khan, Monir Khan, Muhammad Milon, Akram Khan, Raka Popy, Arman Alif, Lita Sarkar, Ayon Chaklader, Khairul Wasi, Kazi Shuvo, Atia Anisha, Shilpi Biswas, Sumi Shabnam, Konika Roy, Parvez Khan, Salma, Anik Sutradhar, Raisa Khan, Nishchup Brishti, Layla, Swikriti, Ayesha Jebin Dipa, Ibnat Salma, Mahtim Sakib, Sathi Khan, Monsur, and Bindukona, among many others.

So far, more than 500 original songs composed by Farhad have been released, while over a hundred more remain unreleased and are expected to be launched soon as music videos.

Some of his most popular songs include “Pan Supari,” “Matal,” “Dui Chakkar Cycle,” “Pagla Pagli,” “Tom and Jerry,” “Pirit Koiro Na,” and “Beyain Saab 2.0.”

Speaking about his dreams, Farhad said, “I want to stay connected to music until my last breath. I want to present Bangla music on the global stage. Music runs in my blood, and I want to remain with music for as long as I live.”
