Grameenphone, the country’s leading telecommunications service provider, has further strengthened its presence in the south-western region with the inauguration of a new Grameenphone Centre (GPC) in Khulna, reaffirming its commitment to delivering reliable connectivity and superior customer experience across the country, a press release said.
Jai Prakash, Chief Technology Officer of Grameenphone, recently inaugurated the centre in the city. Marking the occasion, he also personally assisted a walk-in customer with an enquiry about gpfi services. Khulna GPC partner Sheikh Mahmud Hasan (Sohel), Grameenphone’s Khulna Circle Business Head Md. Ahsan Habib, and Head of Customer Experience & Service Abdulla Al Mahmud, among others, were present during the inauguration ceremony.
The newly launched GPC has been thoughtfully designed with a Sundarbans-inspired theme, featuring artwork created by a local artist. It is tailored to meet evolving customer needs by offering faster resolution, personalized support, and seamless access to Grameenphone’s digital solutions. Through this initiative, Grameenphone aims to support Khulna’s continued growth by enabling dependable connectivity and delivering an enhanced, future-ready customer experience. The new centre also operates on a 99% paperless customer service model, minimizing environmental impact while ensuring efficiency and transparency.
Highlighting the company’s continued focus on customer-first service delivery, Jai Prakash, Chief Technology Officer of Grameenphone, said, “At Grameenphone, we continuously strive to ensure the best possible customer service across Bangladesh. This new centre reflects that commitment.”
He added, “We have thoughtfully designed the space by drawing inspiration from Khulna’s rich heritage, ensuring that the centre truly represents the spirit and identity of the city. We believe our customers will receive the service, care, and digital support they expect from this spacious and welcoming centre, which will also serve as a hub for immersive digital experiences.”
Khulna plays a vital role in the country’s economic and digital ecosystem, supported by the strategic importance of Mongla Port, a strong fishery and trading sector, and a rapidly expanding, internet-enabled business environment.
