LHB contributes Tk 2.25 crore to labour welfare fund

Dhaka : LafargeHolcim Bangladesh PLC. (LHB) has contributed approximately Tk 2.25 crore to the Bangladesh Labour Welfare Foundation Fund, under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, reaffirming its commitment to the well-being of workers. The contribution was made in compliance with the provisions of the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006.  On behalf of LHB, AKM Atiqur Rahman, Human Resources Director and Neel Savio Azavedo, Business Development Director formally handed over the cheque to Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. M. Sakhawat Hussain, Honorable Adviser to the Ministry of Labour and Employment on July 08, 2025, according to a press release.

The handover ceremony was also graced by the presence of Md. Munir Hossain Khan, Director General, Bangladesh Labour Welfare Foundation and Sarker Shoeb Ahmed, General Manager – Corporate Affairs, LHB.
