The event saw enthusiastic participation from prominent architects, interior designers, and creative professionals across Bangladesh.

Each year, Asian Paints joins forces with leading voices across various creative fields, ranging from architecture and design to fashion, media, and sociology, to create ColourNext, an in-depth forecast highlighting the year’s evolving trends in colours, materials, textures, and finishes. Since 2003, the brand has been studying the intersection of culture and design to forecast emerging design directions. Over time, ColourNext has established itself as Asia’s most respected colour and material intelligence platform. In Bangladesh, Asian Paints remains the only home décor brand undertaking such in-depth and nuanced trend research.  At this year’s launch, the spotlight was on Cardinal, which was named the Colour of the Year 2025. This dusky, soulful purple is rooted in emotional depth and unfiltered authenticity. It embodies a profound sense of inner harmony, Inspired by modern identity and the need for reflection, Cardinal brings softness, sophistication, and a sense of emotional grounding to any space.

The event also introduced three trend directions for the year: Bad Taste: A bold aesthetic revolution that embraces flamboyance, maximalism, and the beauty of breaking the rules.

Feel More: A deeply sensorial trend that focuses on touch, texture, and emotional design experiences.

Salt: A minimalist yet powerful trend inspired by nature’s purity, sustainability, and tactile simplicity.Speaking at the launch, Joseph Eapen, Chief Executive Officer of Asian Paints International, said:

“consumers want more than just colour—they want their spaces to tell a story, to evoke a feeling. With ColourNext 2025, we’ve combined global insights with local relevance to offer a design toolkit that reflects how people live and feel. Our goal is to continue crafting colour and material solutions that are not only beautiful, but meaningful, enhancing both aesthetic value and everyday functionality.”

Budhaditya Mukherjee, Regional Head – Asian Paints International Limited, added:

“ColourNext is a lens through which we see what truly moves people. Cardinal speaks to the emotional truth of our time—and we're proud to bring that dialogue to Bangladesh.”

With this, Asian Paints reaffirms its commitment to décor leadership, offering future-ready ideas that empower professionals and homeowners alike to create expressive, emotionally rich, and culturally relevant living spaces.
