Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited (BCBL) Business Review Meeting-2025 was held, July 12, 2025, at the Bank's Head Office. Honorable Chairman of the Board of Directors, Md. Ataur Rahman was present as the Chief Guest. Chairman of the Board Executive Committee, Md. Mohashin Mia and Chairman of the Board Audit Committee, Shaikh Ashafuzzaman FCA, Deputy Managing Directors, Mohammad Ziaul Karim and Md. Zahirul Alam were present as special guests. Managing Director and CEO of the Bank, Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, presided over the program. Branch Managers of all branches, in-charges of sub-branches, zonal heads participated in the program online, and all department heads of the head office participated directly. The program evaluated and analyzed the progress of all business targets (deposits, loans and advances, profit/loss, loan recovery, import/export, remittance) of the participating branches and sub-branches as of June 2025, as well as discussed the outline and action plan for achieving the business targets for 2025, according to a press release.
Chief Guest Md. Ataur Rahman in his speech instructed all those present to take strong steps to recover bad and defaulted investments. In order to work for a new Bangladesh, the banking sector must be strengthened because the banking sector is one of the means to keep the economy running. He called on everyone to work with professionalism to keep the banking sector running. Chairman of the Board Executive Committee Md. Mohashin Mia provided the necessary strategies and guidelines to achieve all the desired targets in addition to collecting deposits. Chairman of the Board Audit Committee Sheikh Ashafuzzaman FCA, said that everyone should adopt a profit plan and try to achieve point to point. The Managing Director and CEO discussed the necessary strategies to achieve all the business targets (deposits, loans and advances, profit/loss, loan recovery, import/export, remittance) for the year 2025. He gave instructions to ensure the best customer service to achieve the overall target. He also advised everyone to work together to deliver all types of bank services to the doorsteps of customers.
