DHAKA : Dr. Md. Sabur Khan Elected Chairman and Ishtiaq Abedin Secretary General The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB) and the election of the Executive Committee for the term 2025-2027 were held on Thursday, July 17 at the association Banani office, according to a press release.
In the election, Daffodil International University Chairman Dr. Md. Sabur Khan was elected as APUB Chairman. Benazir Ahmed of North South University and Moin Uddin Chishti, KBM of Victoria University of Bangladesh, were elected as Vice Chairmen.
Ishtiaq Abedin of American International University-Bangladesh was elected as Secretary General, and Md. Rezaul Karim of Southeast University was elected as Joint Secretary General. Qayyum Reza Chowdhury of the University of Asia Pacific was elected as the Treasurer.
The new Executive Committee members are: Sadaf Saj Siddiqui (BRAC University), Farooq Hasan (BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology), Kazi Jahedul Hasan (Central Women University), Lutfe M Ayub (Chittagong Independent University), Nowshad Shamsul Arefin (East West University), Abul Kasem Haider (Eastern University), Shafayet Kabir Chowdhury (East Delta University), Didar A. Hossain (Independent University, Bangladesh), Md. Ashraf Ali (Prime University), Dr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman (State University of Bangladesh), Mostafa Kamal (The People University of Bangladesh), Dr. Kazi Anis Ahmed (University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh) and Hafizur Rahman Khan
