Imranur Rahman, Bangladesh’s fastest man and an international gold-medal-winning sprinter, has been announced as the product ambassador for vivo’s newest Y series addition — the vivo Y400, according to a press release.
Known as a speed icon among youth and a trailblazer on the global stage, Imranur’s partnership with vivo reflects a shared commitment to excellence, consistency, and breaking barriers.
Born in Sheffield, England, to a family of Sylheti origin, Imranur began his athletic journey after switching from football, encouraged by friends. He joined the Bangladesh national team in 2021, and in 2023 set a national record in the 100-metre sprint in London with a time of 10.11 seconds. That same year, he made history by winning gold in the 60-metre sprint at the Asian Indoor Championships in Kazakhstan — Bangladesh’s first-ever gold at that championships level.
Imranur also reached the semi-finals of the 100 meters at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham — a first for a Bangladeshi athlete. Over the years, he has amassed numerous national and international accolades, including a semi-final appearance at the Asian Athletics Championships in Thailand and the title of Bangladesh’s Sportsman of the Year in 2023.
