Evercare Hospital observes World Hepatitis Day 2025

Dhaka : Evercare Hospital Chattogram, the port city’s largest hospital, observed World Hepatitis Day 2025 with an expert-led awareness event aimed at encouraging early detection, vaccination, and preventive practices to combat hepatitis and promote liver health. The initiative highlights the growing need for liver health awareness, early diagnosis, and timely intervention in the fight against this silent yet serious disease, according to a press release.

The program began with a welcome address by Samir Singh, COO of Evercare Hospital Chattogram.  The event brought together leading specialists in gastroenterology and hepatology to address the critical importance of proactive healthcare in managing hepatitis. With their collective expertise, Dr. Sandeep Dhavan, Senior Consultant – Gastroenterology  Hepatology; Dr. Mushfiqul Abrar, Consultant –Gastroenterology Hepatology; and Dr. S.M. Shohel Rana, Attending Consultant – Gastroenterology

Hepatology, discussed the value of early screening, vaccination, medical advancements, and necessary lifestyle modifications in preventing and managing liver diseases.
