Diploma engineers submit memorandum to chief advisor with 7 demands

To implement the 7-point demands of the Bangladesh Diploma Engineering Students, Teachers, Professionals, and Students’ Union, a memorandum was submitted to the Chief Advisor through the respective District Commissioners on August 25. It is to be noted that this program was implemented as per the program announced centrally on August 19, a press release said.

The 7-point demands announced by the Bangladesh Diploma Engineering Students, Teachers, Professionals, Sangram Parishad are – Reservation of 10th grade sub-assistant engineer/equivalent posts only for four-year diploma engineers (all technologies including surveying) in light of the existing notification, promotion from sub-assistant engineer to assistant engineer post to 50%, modernization of the curriculum of Diploma in Engineering curriculum in English version according to the needs of the era, elimination of teacher shortage considering teacher-student ratio of 1:12 in all polytechnic and monotechnic institutes, TSC, division of field and desk engineering in engineering workplace to improve the quality of engineering workplace and promote research activities, banning the entry of B.Sc engineers into other cadres except engineering cadre to prevent wastage of talent, formulation of manpower structure of all engineering organizations in 1:5 ratio according to the international engineering team concept and all engineering and technology universities and engineering colleges Creating opportunities for Diploma Engineering certificate holders to pursue higher education through credit transfer.
