Eastern University signs MoU with Uzbekistan’s Samarkand State Architecture University

Eastern University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Samarkand State Architecture and Construction University, Uzbekistan, at its campus today. Professor Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Eastern University, signed on behalf of EU, while Mr. Ferhan Kara, Advisor to the Rector, signed on behalf of Samarkand State Architecture and Construction University.  The signing ceremony was also joined online by Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Canbay Türkyılmaz, Rector, and Prof. Dr. Emrah Türkyılmaz from Turkey, a press release said.

The MoU establishes a framework for academic cooperation, including joint supervision of Master’s and PhD programs, student and faculty exchanges, internships, collaborative research, and joint seminars and workshops. It also paves the way for sharing academic resources, scholarships for meritorious students, and joint certificate courses.

Professor Dr. Sobhani expressed optimism that this partnership will create new global opportunities for Eastern University students and graduates, enhancing their prospects in higher studies, research, and careers abroad.

The Treasurer, Registrar, Deans, Chairpersons, and Section Heads of Eastern University were present at the signing ceremony.
