GPH Ispat supports Bangladesh labour welfare foundation through WPPF contribution

Dhaka : GPH Ispat, one of Bangladesh’s leading steel manufacturers, has reaffirmed its commitment to the well-being of industrial workers by contributing to the Bangladesh Labour Welfare Foundation Fund, operated under the Ministry of Labour and Employment.  The contribution, made from the company’s Workers’ Profit Participation Fund (WPPF), was formally handed over during an official ceremony held in Dhaka. In the ceremony, the cheque was presented to Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. M Sakhawat Hussain, Adviser to the Ministry of Labour and Employment, by Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman, Director; Sharmin Sultan, Chief People Officer (CPO), and H M Ashraf-Uz-Zaman FCA, Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), representing GPH Ispat.  This initiative reflects GPH Ispat’s continued dedication to fostering inclusive and sustainable industrial development. The company firmly believes that industrial growth is intrinsically tied to the prosperity and well-being of its workforce. Through this contribution, GPH Ispat strengthens its role as a responsible corporate citizen, committed to ensuring that workers directly benefit from the progress they help drive, according to a press release.
