Diplomatic missions in London condole over Dhaka’s tragic air crash

DHAKA : Various diplomatic missions based in London have expressed profound grief and condolences over the tragic loss of many young lives in the recent air force fighter crash at Milestone School and College in Dhaka.

To honor the memory of the victims and express solidarity with their families, a condolence book was opened at the Bangladesh High Commission in London on July 23 and 24.

Messages of condolence have been received from a number of countries, including: Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, India, Pakistan, Brazil, Spain, Sri Lanka, Malta, Honduras, Poland, Hungary, Trinidad and Tobago, Guatemala, Greece, Mexico, Azerbaijan, Colombia, Ghana, Bahrain, Maldives, Togo, and Algeria, according to a message received here from London today.

Additionally, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Commonwealth and the International Crisis Group also conveyed their sympathy and condolences.

Diplomatic representatives expressed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and conveyed solidarity with the government and people of Bangladesh during this time of national mourning.

The Bangladesh High Commission in London has extended its sincere gratitude to all countries and organizations that expressed sympathy and support during this time of profound grief.
