Prof Kalimullah held in graft case in Mohammadpur

DHAKA : The Detective Branch (DB) of police today arrested
former vice- chancellor of Begum Rokeya University, Professor Dr Nazmul Ahsan
Kalimullah from the capital’s Mohammadpur thana area.

Professor Kalimullah was arrested from his Mohammadpur residence around
12:30pm today in a corruption case, Deputy Commissioner of DB Muhammad
Talebur Rahman told BSS.

The Anti-Corruption Commission in June last filed a case against five people,
including former Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur vice-chancellors Nazmul
Ahsan Kalimullah on charges of embezzling Taka 4 crore from a development
project through corruption.
